PPest Software Hub

Software advice for small service businesses — actually tested, and matched to your size

Most "best software" lists recommend a $200-a-month enterprise platform to a two-truck pest control company. We do the opposite: we sign up for the trials ourselves, run the same job through every tool, and tell you what fits a 1-to-10 person shop.

What makes this different

We actually use the software

Every review starts with a real trial account, a real sample job and screenshots from inside the product. We publish the version and the date we checked it. If we have not used it, we say so.

We sort by shop size first

The first question is not "which is best" but "which fits a shop your size". A 1-tech operation, a 3-truck company and a 15-crew business need different tools, and the price gap between them is thousands a year.

We write down the tradeoffs

Every tool has a "this will annoy you" section — the per-user fee nobody mentions, the integration that is gated behind a higher tier, the feature that only works on the desktop app.

Currently in the test queue

Right now we are running the pest control tools through the same scenario: a 3-technician residential company doing quarterly recurring contracts. This is what is on the bench, and what we have finished.

We publish as we finish, not on a content calendar. No article appears here before it has been written and checked.

How we test

Our method is short enough to check: sign up for the trial, run one identical job through every tool, record the steps and the screens, then verify every price against the vendor's own pricing page on the day of publication.

Read the full testing method — including what we cannot test, and what we do instead.

One rule we hold to: if a tool is genuinely wrong for your business, we say so even when it pays the highest commission. A recommendation that costs you $2,000 a year is not worth a referral fee.
